Located within the Serial Mash area of Purple Mash, My Library is a digital collection of books specifically written for primary school children. These aren’t just any books; they are broken down into chapters with fun activities, quizzes, and writing projects to go along with them.
How to Access My Library Getting started is easy! Pupils can log in from school or even from home on a tablet or computer. Here is your quick-start guide:
Select Reading icon: click on the Purplemash Library icon.
Choose Your Level: You’ll see different sections tailored to different age groups:
Diamonds: Short, simple stories for Key Stage 1.
Emeralds: Slightly longer stories for lower Key Stage 2.
Sapphires: Longer, more complex books for upper Key Stage 2.
Start Reading: Click on a book cover that looks interesting and dive in! Why We Love It
Read Anywhere: Since it’s online, you can finish a chapter during breakfast or snuggled up before bed.
Interactive Fun: After each chapter, you can take a quiz to see how much you remembered or complete a “Creative Writing” task based on the characters.
Track Your Progress: Pupils can earn rewards and see their reading history grow over the term.
Top Tip: If you find a word you don’t know, many of the books have a built-in dictionary. Just click the word to see what it means!
