Gosford Park Pupils Shine Once Again at the Latest HADO Event

We are incredibly proud to share that our pupils have once again excelled at the latest HADO augmented reality sports event, demonstrating exceptional teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship throughout the day. Their behaviour and enthusiasm were outstanding—they truly represented Gosford Park Primary School at its very best.

HADO, an innovative augmented reality sport, blends fast-paced physical movement with immersive digital gameplay. Played on a 10×6 metre court, teams of up to three players use AR headsets and motion sensors to launch virtual energy blasts, raise shields, and outmanoeuvre their opponents in real time. This unique combination of sport and technology continues to captivate our children, offering them a thrilling and highly engaging way to stay active.

Fantastic Teamwork and Determination
Our pupils approached the event with enthusiasm from the very start. Much like in previous HADO competitions, they demonstrated:

Strong team communication, coordinating attack and defence strategies with maturity.
Quick reflexes and tactical thinking, key skills in this fast-paced AR environment.
Outstanding sportsmanship, celebrating not only their own successes but also cheering on other schools and teams.

Staff attending the event commented on how confidently the children adapted to the game’s challenges, showing improved skills thanks to their growing familiarity with this exciting sport.

Representing Gosford Park With Pride
Every participant embodied our school values throughout the competition. Their behaviour both on and off the court was exemplary – they supported each other, encouraged peers, and demonstrated respect at all times. Moments like these highlight not only their sporting ability but also their character, making us incredibly proud of each and every one of them.

A Continued Journey Into AR Sports
Gosford Park pupils have embraced HADO as an exciting part of our sports and technology opportunities, following earlier events where they have performed brilliantly. The growing popularity of AR sports like HADO shows just how powerful the combination of physical activity and digital immersion can be for engaging young learners.

We look forward to taking part in future competitions as HADO continues to expand across Coventry and beyond. With our pupils’ enthusiasm and talent, we’re confident they’ll keep shining – both on the AR court and in every new challenge they take on.
