Year 5 Shine in Creative STEM Engineering Workshop

This week, Year 5 had the exciting opportunity to take part in a STEM Workshop, which quickly became a highlight for everyone. Their challenge was to design and build a device capable of safely delivering a parcel. To succeed, the children had to construct a strong, reliable structure, include the parcel within their design, and develop a method of alerting the recipient upon delivery. Throughout the session, teamwork, communication and critical thinking were on full display. As we walked around, it was fantastic to see such imaginative and innovative ideas taking shape, with many groups overcoming unexpected challenges along the way. We were incredibly impressed by their determination and creativity. A special congratulations goes to the winning teams, whose success was judged not only on the quality of their model but also on how effectively they collaborated. The workshop was a wonderful opportunity for the children to demonstrate our Gosford Park values—Curious, Ambitious and Resilient.
