Yesterday, there was a fantastic buzz all around school as the children were challenged to ‘dress up’ their reading corners in their classrooms. Each class was presented with a special package of books to add to their shelves during assembly and throughout the day, the children and adults worked hard to showcase that at Gosford park,
Year 6 have been getting their teeth into spine-chilling suspense stories. We watch ‘Alma’ and became mesmerised by how the main character was turned into a doll! We wrote our own versions, ranging from retellings to character innovation. As an extra challenge, some children narrated the story from the point of view of the dreaded soul-stealing shop.
