The past two weeks, we have spent time finishing our multiplication unit and starting our money one. So far in the money unit, we have identified the different coins. We moved on to adding up different amounts of coins. We have found this a bit tricky but we are not giving up! We will continue
This week in maths we have been learning to represent numbers 9 and 10. We made them on the tens frame using cubes and then drew different pictures to represent the correct amount. We looked carefully at the parts we could see and subitised the two amounts we could see within 9 and 10.

This week we have been looking at tenths, hundredths and thousandths. We have used place value charts and counters so we can represent these numbers and understand that we can exchange 10 hundredths for 1 tenth and 10 thousandths for 1 hundredth.We then compared these numbers and could see the value of each digit clearly.
