Year 3 – Multiplication and division
Year 3 have been learning how to use the formal method for multiplying – before using the written method the children are expected to demonstrate their understanding using manipulatives such as dienes or place value counters. Children were able to explain their method verbally.

Year 6: Position and Direction
In Year 6, we have been looking at position at direction. We have worked hard to apply these skills when designing and moving playground equipment. We applied skills such as co-ordinates in four quadrants, translation and direction to meet the brief of the designers.

Gosford Park has had some exciting events recently in P.E. We have been extremely fortunate to have had a rowing machine this week for the Year 6’s to practise for an upcoming rowing competition against other schools.
