Intent– Our Religious Education curriculum aims to meet the content requirements of the Coventry and Warwickshire Agreed Syllabus. At Gosford Park Primary school, we take pride in our inclusivity and school values. It is essential for our pupils to learn from and about religion, developing their understanding of the multi-cultural, ever-changing world around them. This includes studying a range of religions and non-religious beliefs. We endeavour to engage and inspire our pupils with an enquiry-based curriculum, where they are provided with opportunities to learn about world faiths, deepening their understanding and awareness of the beliefs, values and traditions of other individuals, societies, communities and cultures. We explore big questions about life, to find out what people believe and what difference this makes to how they live, so that pupils can make sense of religion, reflecting on their own ideas and ways of living. Our new RE curriculum will teach pupils to develop respect for others and to consider their own responsibilities.
